AJPS aims to be the foremost African periodical on Paediatric Surgery, dedicated to the promotion of research, post-graduate training and further education in the surgery of newborns, infants and children.Mission Statement
To serve as a medium for continued surgical education and qualitative scientific publications on paediatric surgery, enhancing exchange of evidenced-based information on the best surgical practice that will ultimately improve the health of children.
Scope
AJPS welcomes and accepts clinical and laboratory-based research manuscripts relating to all aspects of paediatric surgery. It is also a medium for publicizing meetings and news relating to advances in Paediatric Surgery and child health within Africa and the rest of the world.
Aims and Objectives
To publish cut edge peer-review original articles, case reports, letters to the editor, editorials, review articles, commentaries, and innovations that will impact on paediatric surgical practice.
To enhance exchange of ideas/information relating to paediatric surgery and interaction among stakeholders.
To encourage networking and partnership between individuals, government and non-governmental organizations for the provision of quality health care in children.
To advocate for training, workshops, seminars, scientific manuscript writing conferences that will advance publishing culture.
Publisher
The Journal is published by Medknow Publications. AJPS is an Open Access Journal, the open access policy has resulted in more than a half a million article downloads in a month all the journals. Article submission is strictly online. Frequency of publication is three issues per year: January-April, May-August, and September-December.
